When Cheryl first became our Independent Visitor, our home had just received its initial Ofsted Inspection, and were fortunate to be rated as, “requires improvement”. As new home with limited experience Cheryl provided us with support and guidance that was essential during this period. Whilst remaining independent and objective, Cheryl became an integral part of our team; always available to offer her considerable expertise and experience on a diverse range of issues. Cheryl is able to remain clear and focused on what the best outcomes are for young people; and how they should be achieved within the Ofsted Regulations; while developing supportive and collaborative relationships with our staff and young people. This balance between genuine support and challenge has enabled us to grow and develop as a home and organisation and is something for which we are extremely grateful
