About Us
Ms Cheryl Carter – MBA; Post Qualifying Diploma in Therapeutic Child Care; Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management; Certificate Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)
Cheryl Carter has worked in the care and education field for over 30 years in a variety of capacities. Prior training as a Social Worker Cheryl trained and qualified as a nurse and as her interest in helping and caring for people grew Cheryl decided to make a change in her career she trained and qualified in social work at Brunel University, and followed this with a further, two-year Diploma in Therapeutic Child Care. Cheryl worked in various sectors of social care but prior to her retirement worked within Regulation and Inspection as an Ofsted Inspector.
In total, Cheryl has inspected and judged over 400 different provisions, witnessing the best of practice and also the worst. Cheryl left Ofsted in 2014 and set up a consultancy service to organisations that would benefit from her sharp eye and extensive knowledge. In 2018 Cheryl was awarded Masters with Merit in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool.

Mocksted (Mock Inspection)
CAMAC Services will help you to prepare for your Inspections by carrying out mock inspections based on the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
Return Home Interviews
CAMAC Services can provide for an independent Return Home Interview when a child who goes missing returns home. This is essential, as it provides the child with an opportunity to engage with an independent person when they return home.
Start Up Assistance for New Children’s Homes
Camac Services can provide support and guidance for people who want to start up a business providing residential care for children and young people, whether this might be a Children’s Home, a Fostering Agency, or a Residential Family Centre.
Investigations
CAMAC Services are designed to assist providers to effectively respond, in a timely manner to complaints or allegations against staff, or against the organisation.
